Review: Novel - Death by Mistake by Abigail Keam

Josiah Reynolds, the amateur sleuth, just can't seem to get a break where men are concerned. The latest boyfriend, Hunter Wickliffe, left her to return to an old girlfriend who has a son. Allegedly *Hunter's* son. And he married Kathy to be a father to the young man. But now Josiah finds out he's been arrested for murdering the wife and he's not doing anything to defend himself. You know Josiah. She has to find out why, no matter how deeply she was hurt.

I am so addicted to these books. This series has been nothing but one great story after another, and Death by Mistake is no different. Abigail Keam knows exactly how to craft a plot that doesn't sacrifice character development. The plot moves the characters; the characters move the plot. And her stories always invoke the spirit of Agatha Christie, the Grand Dame of the Murder Cozy.

Keam writes strong females, a little flawed but most definitely human. Intelligent. Brave. And not easily pushed around. Which is not to say that the men are exactly wimps, and they too are flawed but mostly good hearted. There is a delicious symmetry between the characters. And then, there's Asa!

I got so caught up in this story; it was a definite can't put down until I have read every single word. The pacing is, for lack of a better word, perfect.

Definitely another 5 stars for this one. Can't wait for the next book in the series.
