KDP Select, NaNoWriMo, and Halloween

I'm torn. Do I tell you tell you my big and bigger news and risk no one reading the rest? Or hold it to the end and risk my readers just skipping to the end. Hmmm...dilemma.Well, we'll do it in order of importance. Read along with me.

I've decided to write my very first romance novel. Yes, I know; I've started out to write a romance before and every time, it's shot off into something else. But not this time. It's already plotted and ready to go. And this is going to be my NaNoWriMo project for this year. I'm rather excited. I promise to post snippets along the way, a nice taste of things to come, shall we say. If you like romances, hopefully, you'll read along with that one.

If you're one of those folks doing NaNo this year and you want a buddy, my profile page has the link to add me. And I'll add you back. Hey, we can compare numbers. No competition, mind. Just comparisons. Okay? Okay!

So. News, news news.

I moved Illusions & Reality to a free read -- permanently. That's the first big thing. Doesn't matter where you go or what e-reader you have, the read is free. B&N, Amazon, Kobo, Sony, Amazon...it's a freebie wherever you find it. And at this point, I've had 250 downloads of the book --which is wicked cool. But I'd really love to see it in the top 100 on Amazon. So...go grab your free copy and then tell all your friends to go get their free read. And maybe, you might be interested in reading A Wager of Blood too. There's a preview of the book in the back of I&R -- a free chapter.

But the really big news is that I'll be celebrating Halloween/Samhain by offering Salt of the Earth as a free read -- for just Oct 30th and 31st. For the last time this year, as a matter of fact. So, if you want your copy, click on that link on those two dates and get it. And by the by, I really think that, if you like Salt, you'll like A Wager of Blood -- a paranormal thriller, I might add.

Wow, do I sound desperate for readers? Probably, but hey, if I don't promote myself, who will. Right?

So, see you around the NaNoWriMo pages. Don't forget to come here to get some previews and raw excerpts from my first romance, Splendor. And wish me luck on that, too. I'll need it. But also, look for your free reads.

Laters.
