Excuse me while I go kick the wall for a while

I busted my butt to make sure that copy was clean. No errors, no mistakes. All my grammar was correct, all my T's were crossed and my I's had the dots. Sent it off to a reviewer to find that
  • I accidentally double loaded two different chapters.
  • Missed a few places where I had an extra period at the end of the sentences.
  • Didn't remove an extra word here or there from when I did my line edits.
You know how embarrassing that is? It's bad enough that I have to deal with the stigma of being an indie author to begin but that I just shot myself in the foot by this stupidity.

Did I check my manuscript before I uploaded it? Hells yes! I have read this damn thing several times. I proclaimed it clean. Three readers proclaimed it clean. WTF???

Oh well. I'm not perfect. And the reviewer caught it before the MS went out all over. This is a good thing. And I have a couple of weeks before it's accepted into the Premium Catalogue, so I have time to fix it. But it still chaps my thighs.

Well, I will not make that mistake again! Thus says I! And thank you, Felicia, for catching those. I owe you big time, girl.

Back to work. Time to get A Wager of Blood ready.
